Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Sheen Spray £2.76

Whilst shopping in Boots one day trying to kill some time, i stumbled across this collection. It caught my eye as it was new and something i hadn't heard of or seen before. And i'm not going to lie, it was the prices of these products that made me look twice. It normally is, if i see a product i like then i check the price range out and if its too high then i move on. But this collection was reasonable so i started to read the bottles and about it. Since i'm a blondie and it ain't au natural, then my hair can be dry and brittle and i need to look after it just as much as my skin. 
So anyway, i decided to give it ago.
When i had a day off watching films etc, i sprayed this sheen spray all over my dry hair, literally all over. And you may guess by the title but it does make it look greasy and you shouldn't do this when you have to leave the house or have visitors. Especially spray the ends and the roots, as it does say it is a root stimulator which is known to help the hair grow quicker and in better condition.
Left it on all day and washed it off in the bath on the night time. Used conditioner as per usual and allowed it to dry naturally like i do every day.
Woke up the next morning and my hair was shiny and soft and just overall mint condition!! So i fell i love with this product. I bought it around about 2 years ago and i still have the same bottle as it lasts SO LONG.  The bottle is huge and you don't have to do this very often, i would say depending on how bad your hair is or how much you dye/use heat on it but no more than 2/3 time a months.

I can't believe i haven't actually tried any of their other products but i am sure i will at some point and will let you know hows those go.

Matalan Tote Bag £7.50 (sale), Dorothy Perkins Bag £12, Dorothy Perkins Mini Satchel Bag £22.

 I've had my eyes on these bags for a while now as i am LOVING pastels. I love summer just as an excuse to wear pastels as there is loads of it about. I previously posted about this lime green bag in my Fluorescent Green post.
The grey tote bag from Matalan was my purchase of the day! At £7.50 you can't go wrong. It was originally £15 and i would have happily paid that, but catching it at the right time meant i saved some money. It comes in black too but i haven't got a grey bag and i love how big it is as big bags are in at the minute. Plus, i am even thinking of using it for the aeroplane because it will simply allow for those last minute extras that you think of taking (we all do it, stuffing shoes in here and there).
This mini coral satchel comes in at £22 which isn't such a bargain for how small it is. But saying that, it is lush! I think it's ideal for going on dates, day trips out or even on nights out. It may be worth it for how many times it is going to get used.

Yesterday was a little scary. As I went to the Hairdresses and got something different. Everyone knows how scary it is sitting in that seat waiting to see the finished results. I have only recently found a hairspdresses that I actually like and trust. But I have been blonde for 3 years now but before that have been every colour under the sun. I am one of those people who look different on every photograph since my teens. As I get older, I have found what I suit and so I think you should stick to what you suit once you find it. But I also get bored and feel a change and lift your spirits up and boost your confidence.
So anyway, I showed her my hairspiration. Which was mainly just Mollie King from The Saturdays..

Before this, i used to dye my hair myself. I used to use a home dying kit and I'd found the perfect colour and it was cheaper than going to the Hairdresses to get it dyed. I used to use Nice N Easy Perfect 10 in Lightest blonde shade. 

As I showed my hairdresser these images, she straight away knew to put different shades of low lights in. So I had dark and light caramels with a few of highlights at the front. I'm still not used to it as it's a huge change for me but I'm loving the cut as my layers are shorter and it feels bouncy which I love!

I loveeeeeeeeeeee green.
Especially fluro green. It was big last summer and i think its creeping back this summer. I cant wait to wear them with a tan. Since i am blonde, i love green. I feel different colour hair suits different colours and i feel green is my colour. Infact all the pastels suit blonde hair such as yellows, baby pinks and baby blues.

Since i work at H&M (although i work in the kids department) i am forever checking up and seeing whats in to see what i can get with my discount. And with just winning employee of the month i get 50% off an outfit so i have been seeing what i want to buy. I spotted this fluro green jumper which was immediately tried on as i have been on the look out for one for ages. At £14.99 it is not bad for a jumper! I wore this with bright blue jeans and bright pink lipstick.

 Top is from Dorothy Perkins and at a bargain price of £18. Its a silky material which just drapes over your body and hangs in the right places. I will wear with black skinny waxed jeans and black boots.

Superdrug are amazing for makeup bargains! They do some expensive but they also have the cheap makeup stalls which if you find a brand that works for you why not spend the minimum.

I'm always on the lookout for a bargain and i have recently purchased a Beauty UK lipstick before and i really liked the way it went on and if you like the actual lipstick then that is the main thing as they always do a number of colours so i am sure you can find a one you suit.

So anyway, knowing that i liked the product previously i decided to purchase some more as you can never have too many lippys! In my case, i always end up forgetting i have all mine as i normally focus on the newest ones which is bad as i probably end up buying the same ones.

As well as being cheap, they had an offer on so it was buy one get one half price. The lipsticks are normally £3.49 BUT i have bought one for £1 before at Superdrug so there are the deals you want to look out for as a lipstick for a pound is a steal.

The two colours that i purchased were 'Pink my ride' and 'Cupcake'.

Applying the 'Pink my ride' one i am shocked by the bright colour as i couldn't open it as there was no testers. Then applying it i remember the tingle you get as it has a mint smell and taste, i think its to plump up your lips to make them seem bigger and plumper. I really like how it doesn't smell or taste cheap as sometime when you pay less, the quality is less. 

'Pink my ride' is the electric pink which is silky but a matt finish which is my favourite as i tent to get dry lips and putting a dry lipstick on dry lips is a disaster. The only bad point about this lipstick is that you would have to keep it at bay as it does come off easy.

Whereas 'Cupcake' is a little bit like that, its dry and the colour can look like i have applied concealer to my lips (remember when people used to do that, yep i was one of them haha). So with this one i think its better to rub some on your finger and then rub it onto your lips as its then more like a stain and doesn't go on as thick or dry.

How lush are these?! I'm in love. I live in converse trainers as they're mega comfy and these look just as comfy but stylish at the same time. I'm a leopard maniac and sometimes look like Kat Slater from Eastenders (not a good look I know). 

These are pricey but have also found some by Dune which are £59 and some from Kurt Geiger at £95.

If you’re anything like me, then you’d love to see inside every girls makeup bag. I’m so nosey when it comes to seeing what other girls put on their faces and how they do it (yep I’m one of those that stares when you’re doing your makeup). When me and all my girls are together getting ready we always end up pinching each other’s things and seeing what they use etc. so I thought I would do a post on my makeup bag. I’m obsessed with Ted baker and their makeup bags are lush! So here is just a few things I have inside..

Must admit, looking at this image of my contents on the floor it needs a good tidy out and because it’s a decent size bag it can hold lots, which sometimes isn’t a good thing. I also have a separate bag for my brushes as there is nothing worse than pulling a makeup brush out of your bag and the bristles have bent or whatever. 
Starting off with my brushes, is the most important brush, which is a foundation brush. I have only recently found this type of foundation brush and it’s the way forward! I always used to hate the flat foundation brushes as they leave streak marks and you end up having to use your fingers anyway which is pointless in my eyes. Fingers are good tools though I must admit. This brush was a cheapy off one of those makeup stalls as you can end up paying a fortune for some! Which isn’t in my price range at this moment in time. 
I have several eye shadow brushes as I tend to use different ones for different techniques depends if I am shading or doing a block colour etc.
Then there is my eyebrow brush, which I use to colour in my brows with eyeshadow from the Urban Decay Naked palette (shade: buck). Then I use the little mini brow brush (not sure if they have a specific name) to make sure my eyebrows are groomed correctly. And then there is my eyelash brush which I use if my mascara is not brand new and ends up going on clumpy then I use this to brush them out. Also, I have missed my blusher brush out but that is just a typical slanted brush.
My bronzer brush is a mini one inside the Benefit Hoola box as I use that because it’s just as good.

Now let’s move onto the good stuff.

Everyone know ps how good the Urban Decay Naked palettes are and if you don’t you should. This was bought about 2 years ago so as you can see it has been well used and lasted a long time. I bought it on the airplane coming home from holiday as it was only £26 whereas here it costs around £32. I bought it after reading on a blog that it was good so thought I would try it for myself. LOVE it. As you can see I need a new one and I’m going to buy the Naked palette 3. Everyone should have one of these.
Next, we have my work makeup. This Garnier BB cream is great for when you don’t want to use your ‘good’ makeup on everyday work situations. I have the medium colour which can be quite orangey if I haven’t don’t my face tan in a while so I always make sure I have tanned before I wear this. You can get three different shades so if you have a pale skin go for the pale colour or dark for those darker skin tones. It’s a tinted moisturiser and is good for dry skin or for those who don’t like the caked look. Then we have my Benefit essentials. Hoola bronzer, erase paste concealer, brown cream eye shadow and poise tint. Start with my overall favourite makeup product EVER. Benefit Hoola. The most amazing bronzer. It doesn’t have any of this shimmer in that make your cheeks look like a disco ball and it’s not orange. I don’t think I could wear anything else. Erase Paste is such a good concealer for both blemishes and under eye, it’s creamy so don’t dry on those dry patches. It doesn’t crease even though it’s creamy. I have the number 2 shade (i think). Its literally on its last legs though and I am in desperate need of a new one but I am waiting until I go on holiday so I can have a big splurge on the things I need so I can hopefully get them cheaper at the airport. The eyeshadow is a creamy one too which is good as if it keeps your face looking dewy which is the look that I like. Although this does crease a little so prepare to carry around to reapply. Posie Tint is a pink liquid that can be used in your cheeks or lips. I like to use it on my lips as it makes them a nice shade and doesn’t dry them or stick to dry places on your lips if you have dry lips. I don’t use this on my cheeks as I tend to use bronzer first and If I apply this over the top it ends up taking off the bronzer.

Now onto my good foundation. I love Clinique. This super balanced foundation in number 5 is amazing for dry skin, or for the dewy look. Priced at £17.50. Good coverage, stays on well.
This Moisture Serge foundation is a tinted moisturiser. Although it doesn’t feel like one at all, which is a good thing. I still use moisturiser underneath but this colouring is lush. It has a pinky tone to it which is good for the winter. This is an amazing coverage for a tinted moisturiser.

Eyeliner (liquid and pencil) are also an essential.

Goooooodmorning! I’m feeling fresh this morning so thought I would do an every day skin care post. You’ve read previously about my skin problems ( or so you should have, if you haven’t it’s on my second post) and I’ve tried and tested over a thousand products, and now I know what works for me and what doesn’t. I used to try so many products that I probably overloaded my skin so these days I try not to use too many as the skin should be able to breathe.

So, these are the products I use everyday ( or every two days). I’m going to start off with Clean & Clear. I LOVE this and always will. It works wonders at clearing the skin. I use it after I’ve took my makeup off, just to make sure I’ve got all my makeup off as I don’t want any build up left. I also use it before I put my makeup on just so I’m not putting makeup on top of any grease. It can be quite dry on your skin if you use it a lot in one day but it’s great if you need to dry a spot out just to put some in the end of a cotton bud to dab it on the spot and keep doing so until you feel you’re bringing the blemish out. It makes your skin soft and generally look fresh. This is an ESSENTIAL to my routine. Costs around £3 from Superdrug or Boots.

Next we have St.Ives apricot scrub. Costing £4ish. But it lasts a long time so worth the price! I use this as my exfoliator as the natural exfoliants work brill as you rub it in circular motions around your face. It clears any dead dry skin and brings out new fresh smooth skin. An exfoliator is important as your skin isn’t going to look glowing if you’ve got it hidden under layers of dead skin. Once you’ve used it, your makeup goes on lush and also good for tanning.

To be honest any of the St.Ives scrubs would do the job but since I have blemish prone skin I chose the blemish fighting scrub. It doesn’t dry your skin out like some scrubs can.

And finally, the Garnier Pure Action 3 in 1. This is what I use as my face mask that I use every two days as it’s strong so you don’t want to use a mask every day. It’s a clay based mask so it drys white and hard ( a face mask should always be when you can smile). It also has exfoliants in but as I use it as a mask and not a face wash, I’m not scrubbing it into my skin. It’s great at clearing your pores and if you wear makeup everyday you’re bound to get a build up which this removes any and refreshes your skin.

Well ever since Kendal and Kylie Jenner have been on the scene I’ve know about these Cartier Love bracelets and I’m in love. But at around four thousand pounds I think it’s a tad out of my price range. Sooooo I’ve found this look-a-like.

I found them on Instagram which made me check out their website. Which I fell in love with a watch but that’s a different story.

This is what I received in the post today which was a lush surprise. (The bracelet not the watch). I ordered it off their website which works in dollars, was around $32 which worked out about £25 and I paid $10 for postage and then had to pay £11.50ish for a customs charge. I knew it was going to work out around £45 altogether but I thought I was either that or £4,000.

Postage was around 2/3 weeks which I was pleased with and was worth the wait.

Every girl must love Barry M nail varnish! And so when a new collection comes out I jump on it. Walked into Superdrug and seen these new Silk collection. The colours are pastel colours which I LOVE. I bought my two favs colours which are the pink and the green/turquoise. It was buy one get on half price at the time but they are normally £3.99 which isn’t bad pricing for how good they are. Tried them both on my hand straight away when I got home (like everyone does with a new nail varnish) and fell in love with the pink one. Not so much the green but I need to give it another go as it hasn’t had a chance because I’ve had the pink one on my finger nails for the last 3 weeks. They are a Matt finish which I’m not too keen on so I applied a clear other the top to finish it off and it makes it look amazing. Great with fake tan or a natural tan if you’re lucky!

Garner fake tan face mist. It was around £5.99 so not cheap but I thought I’d try it as I don’t like putting fake tan on my face, as you know how protective I am over my skin. So the first time I used this I was a bit naive and sprayed it a bit too much as it’s hard to see how much you’re putting on as it’s gradual. Once you get the hang of it and you know how much to spray the. It’s great. I also love it on my neck and fake tan doesn’t really go on my neck that we’ll and goes patchy very quickly.

So overall I really like these Superdrug buys!

My first post has surely enough got to be about skin care. I’m obsessed with having perfect skin,even though as I get older I’m beginning to realise there isn’t a thing such as ‘the perfect skin’ but there is something very close. And I don’t have it. I’ve struggled my whole teenage life with bad skin and I can safely say I’ve tried EVERYTHING. From the best face washes to spot tablets. And I’m still taking these tablets but only when I have really bad days, and not just for my face as my back used to get quite bad which I hated more than my face. I feel there’s nothing sexier than a clear tanned back!

So since I’ve learnt what works and what doesn’t I though I should share with you guys so you don’t have to go through the process of elimination. Although these may not work for your type of skin. I have dry but prone to blemish type skin, which I have to say is the topmost annoying because if I’m having a spotty day I tend to want to use a thick face mask and dry it all out but them I’m left with dry flakey skin. Not a good look! 

My three essentials if I have a do or I’m going out and I want my skin looking tip top are these three here ^. Sudocrem has been an all time favourite since I began university. Sometimes I would even apply it all over my face and go to sleep with it on if my skin was in drastic condition, but these days I only apply it when I have a red blemish or a spot if dry skin that needs calming down. Yes I know it’s a happy rash cream but it works wonders and some celebs swear by it! This tube is a travel tube as it’s easy to carry but also looks a tad better than the big tub that mothers use on their babies. Small tube around £1.50

Next is No7 essential moisture night cream. The day cream is just as good for during the day time but I feel a night moisturiser is an essential as the skin is known to repair itself during the night. 

This is thick but only if you apply loads, if you apply a small amount it works just as good. It also lasts a long time! 

Last but not least is rose hip oil. I found out about this by reading about Miranda Kerr and how she swears by Trilogy RoseHip oil (£16) Which I have tried and it’s the same thing but it was quite expensive for a little bottle so I opted for the cheaper option (£3.50 from Amazon). This is great for people who suffer from acne scarring and uneven skin tone. Since I had bad blemishes, I made them worse by picking at them which causes scarring and I love this! I apply a drop onto a cotton pad and rub it over my face just before bed. And you wake up and your skin is glowing.

So I know everyone is jumping on the blogging band wagon and I'm probably about a year too late but as I'm currently in a job that doesn't require my full time then I'm finding myself bored and want something useful to do with my time off. So yep, going to start blogging and hopefully can do it as much as I can to keep me occupied but also somewhere to write down all my fashion and beauty ideas. 

Just some info about me to start off with..I'm 22 years of age and I'm currently working at H&M (kids department). I graduated from university in May last year, which was a photography degree. And nope I've done nothing with as of yet as I just need money to get back up on my feet. I live in the north east and really want to start learning how to drive this year! 

I will be posting about fashion, beauty and maybe some baking efforts just to show off ;).
