AFTERNOON TEA IN THE LAKES
Need to get away from all the caos? Not feeling very festive? In need of some quality time away with the partner?
Then you NEED to go to The Daffodil Hotel & Spa. That's not a ohh you would like it, you need to go! I have been 4 times now. All in the space of about 3 months because me and my boyfriend have fallen in love with it.
First of all the hotel is the best hotel in the Lake District (so far) that i have visited. It sits right on the lake which i believe is the only one to in the lake district and that comes with stunning views. But not only the location, the rooms, food and spa is amazing.
Now onto the best bit, FOOD.
I was invited along (not that i wasn't already going for a weekend stay anyway) to try out their festive afternoon tea. Sounds amazing right?!
Here's what it entails:
-BLACK BOMBER CHEESE SCONE SMOKED HADDOCK
- SPRING ONION QUICHE
- DAINTY HAND-CUT SANDWICHES SMOKED SALMON & CREAM CHEESE WRAP
- DARK CHOC & CRANBERRY CHRISTMAS TREE
- SPICED PLUM BAKEWELL
- MERINGUE SNOWMAN
- BOOZY CHERRY YULE LOG
- MINCE PIE MACAROON
- SPICED BERRY PANACOTTA
- WHITE CHOC & COCONUT TRUFFLE
- CHRISTMAS PUDDING CAKE POP
- FRESHLY MADE CRANBERRY & PLAIN SCONES with Devon clotted cream, raspberry & vanilla preserve
As you can see it all looks eye pleasingly good and the taste didn't disappoint either.
